August 23 2009

Well tomorrow you start the first grade. I am so proud of you Brooke. You help Mommy so much and always try to do the right thing. You are excited to have Mr. Starnes as a teacher but a little worried because some of your best friends are not in your class. I know you will do great. We got to see your seat at meet the teacher and check out your classroom. You lost your front tooth yesterday so you will officially be snaggletooth for the first day. So cute! I am trying to talk you into being the tooth fairy for Halloween but you said you would think about it. One funny thing you said recently was , Mom I can't understand those people because I don't have Spanish ears. ha- I love it. You then told me you had English ears. You will always be my first baby girl! Love you -

August 21 2009

Tonight Daddy and I took you by yourself to dinner and then to choose something you wanted. It is kind of a tradition we started last year when we took you shopping for school clothes without the other two. You loved it. We went to Ruby Tuesdays and then you wanted a pet shop so we went to Wal-Mart to get one. We had some other last minute things from Wal-mart we needed also. It was a special time without your sisters to interrupt you. We hope to do this every year adn of course with your sisters individually when they start school.

August 11 2009

Today you and Landon were playing with the exercise band and it snapped back and hit you in the face, leaving a pretty bad mark. We went to the doctor and they wanted to do stitches but you wouldn't hear of it, so we settled on the glue. You were a pretty good patient when you figured out it wasn't going to hurt. I hated seeing you hurt like that. It made me feel good because I was going to have Daddy take you in and me stay with all the other kids but you said no, you would be scared without Mommy. That is about the best thing ever. I was happy to hear you still need me when you are scared. Sometimes I wonder if you are not too grown up but then times like those makes me remember you are my baby!

June 9 2009

This morning we went to the park to walk. We did not get up as early as I had planned so it got hot! We walked the 2 mile track with the double stroller and the dog and then played for just a few minutes and left to meet Daddy for lunch. We had julie's deli. I let you eat lunch at home, since they no longer offered mac and cheese, and you got to have dessert first. chocolate fudge!

It made me sad tonight you were in your bed crying for Murray. YOu didn't want to wait to get to heaven to see him again. You know he is happy but you are sad/ (your words) Poor thing....I feel so bad for you. We rolled your hair in pin curls tonight just like Grandmother Doris used to do to her hair. You are such a girly girl. For the past 2 nights you have gotten up in the night and rolled your hair! We don't know what time this is happening, I never heard anything. You did a pretty good job both times!

June 8 2009

Swimming lessons began today. We are taking from Ms. Julie again and you look so forward to it. All day...how many more hours, minutes, etc. You and Landon were in the same class again. YOu are so funny, you started a potty training chart. You said every time you go potty you get a star and when you get a page full we can go somewhere. When I suggested you change it to a fruits and vegetables chart you were quiet offened but did it anyway. I knew what you meant, but a potty chart? That was about 3 years ago. You said, remember we did it before?!

June 7 2009

Unfortunatley we were all so exhausted from the big day that we let you girls sleep in. We went to Nana's house just to visit and help them move a bit of Karyn's stuff out. Everyone ended up over here again to eat hot dogs. Libby and Landon were at Todd's visiting so it was pretty quiet.

June 6 2009

Recital day! You were so excited this morning. We did your hair and make up at home and then all headed to the theater. You looked so pretty. You were very graceful during your dances. You are one of the center girls in each dance and know the dance by heart. I am so proud of you. We came home at your request intead of going to a restaurant and had everyone over to eat. The kids all played in the sprinkler. It was a great day!Nana gave you gorgeous pink roses and we gave you the stuffed pig you had your eye on from the toy store.

June 5 2009

Today you had your friend Lauren from church over. Blaire and Brynlee (and you) were literally squealing with delight when she got here. I am so glad that you are at an age where it is still ok to play with your little sisters.

June 4 2009

Dress Rehearsal today...you did great. You are such a graceful dance. We were there from 4 until after 8. I had Nana come meey me to help with Brynlee because I had to video and take pictures today plus make sure you get changed etc. You seem to enjoy it more every year. We went to Chilis afterward and everyone went to bed ASAP tonight we were all so tired!

June 3 2009

Today we went to Toy Castle to hear Cinderella read a story. She was sick, so Mickey Mouse made an appearance instead. You listened to the story very intently, better than the other 2. We looked around and of course you found things you were just DYING to purchase RIGHT NOW! I had them hold back the pig you liked and plan to go get it for your recital gift. More practice today. I took the other girls to the park down the street because it was cloudy and a lot cooler today.

June 2 2009

We had more practice at the Perot. We just sat in the car and waited for you. BORING....It has been so hot this week so far... can't wait for July.

June 1 2009

Today is your first practice at the Perot for recital. This morning we went to the library and signed up for some summer activities. We got to see Sponge Bob and get your first library card. We were so excited..Daddy's thinks we are crazy because he doesn't like to read as much as we do. You wanted to check out a 5th grade level chapter book called , The Saddle Club. It looked interesting so I told you I could read it to you if I needed to. When we got home you just started reading it. I was amazed how well you did. You were sounding out and figuring out words like , independent, cooperation, amazing, etc.. You asked for help on "consequence" I am so proud of you. We got Libby and Landon signed up too so you guys were reading all day. We take your sheets back next week and you get to draw for a prize.

May 31 2009

No church today because of the chicken pox again. We did have Nana and everyone over to eat tonight. It's only been 2-3 days but it seems like forever we have been cooped up in the house. They have all already been exposed anyway. We set up a little pool and slip and slide for you guys.

May 30 2009

We were suppossed to go to Landon's last game and the Bulldog race today but had the chicken pox. This is turning out to be a relaxing weekend since we can't go anywhere. We should try this more often. They are itching you some but otherwise you feel fine.

May 29 2009

Graduation day! You did great and we took lots of pictures. The tropy we gave you was a hit and you LOVED the pink real digital camera that Nana gave you. The ceremony went well though I did get choked up a bit, mainly just thinking about how little you were when Kindergarten started. Well, not little but just a baby face. You are growing up which is fun but too sad. We let you choose where to eat after and of course you picked Golden Corral. Not my favorite but its all about you today. When I stopped by the nurse to pick up the medicine I had sent for your bites, she told me it looked like chicken pox! I did not even think of you getting that....So I called the doctor and took you in after lunch and they could not be 100% but thought it was suspicious of chicken pox as well. She said that since you were vaccinated for them you probably just have a different type case, no fever etc. So we think Brynlee may have had a light case as well. We missed dance practice tonight and the church party because of it.

May 28 2009

Ok so getting closer...this is really your last full day since graduation is tomorrow and you get to leave early. I took pictures of you this morning just like I did on the first day of school to compare. Your hair is so much longer now. I went to eat lunch with you today. You told me last week that I never came to eat with you. I was hurt that that is your memory. I went for the first few weeks and you cried everytime I had to leave. So you told me you didn't want me to come anymore so I held off and only came a few times plus Christmas dinner, etc. Hopefully you won't think I didn't want to eat with you. I thought it was the neatest thing in the world when I got to...once I even talked Daddy into keeping the other 2 so it could just be you and me!

May 27 2009

This is your last week of kindergarten! I am so sad....you are growing up too fast. I can't believe how much you have grown and matured this year when I compare pictures. It has been a great school year and I am ready to have you back at home for the summer, but I am not happy about how fast you are growing up! I thought of a great idea for a graduation gift for you. Since you don't have a trophy yet...I am having one for you that says Our Kindergarten Superstar-..I hope you will love it as much as I am anticipating. And tonight we went over to Ally's to eat for Michael's birthday dinner. Ally asked you if you had a boyfriend..and you went crazy because you thought I had told her that you did. Which I did not. We weren't even talking about it...she just asked you and since you and I had been talking about it earlier that day you just assumed I guess..

May 26 2009

What a big day! We got up and curled your hair this morning...and you looked maaaahhvveelloous as always. Today was the end of year party. We played games and make coke floats, well chocolate milk for you. We presented Mrs. Luna with a memory album that everyone loved. It got us moms all teary eyed. Then after school Jonathan had a birthday party at Minton's. You had so much fun with all your friends. Blaire got to tag along and she actually waded around the kiddie pool too. You girls were exhausted when we finally got home.

May 25 2009

Today is Memorial Day so no school! We ended up all going over to Karyn's to help paint, etc. You and Landon played in the backyard. We had to remind you guys to include Blaire. She thinks she is just as big as you are and gets her feelings so hurt when she gets left out.

May 24 2009

Landon and Libby went to church with us this morning. We all went to Carino's for lunch and ate on the patio. You ordered guess what? MAC AND CHEESE! There were no services tonight so we had a mostly relaxing day working around here and had pizza for dinner.

May 23 2009

Today we went to Colin's birthday party at the skating rink. You were very shaky on your skates at first, but got the hang of "walking" around the rink. You and your friend Kamryn were in the same position so you stayed together. It has been so fun going to all the birthday parties this year and getting to make new friends and see you interact with others. Your personality is very laid back and quiet around others. You seem to be liked by all. Your preference is for people that "follow the rules" as you say.

May 22 2009

May 21 2009

Today was your track and field day. After the weeks and weeks of rain we have had...this was a hot, sunny day! You probably didn't notice however. You had lots of fun and were pleased to tell me that you won the three legged race and though there was not really a winner, I can testify that you hulaed the longest by far of anyone! You are a hula girl. We had a great time despite the heat and so glad I got to be a part.

May 18 2009

I think the tea you had for dinner last night kept you up. First you never could fall asleep until late...around 11pm and then you came in about 4:30-5:00am and asked me if you could get on the exercise machine. I was so tired I told you yes. I heard the machine squeeking and wanted to go tell you to get off but I was so tired I couldn't. Brynlee tossed and turned all night. You complained of a tummy ache all day and would not even do your dance. Ms. Gayle said if she asked you to you would cry so you sat and watched. You may feel bad like Brynlee. I think a dr. visit may be in our future!

May 17 2009

You were not happy about missing church this morning but got over it. Brynlee had fever all night. We had another party Sunday for Paige from dance. This time I left the other 2 girls with Daddy so just you and I could go. Tonight we went to eat with everyone at McAlister's. We had not seen Whit in a couple of weeks it seems.

May 16 2009

We had a birthday party to go to today for Madilyn Morse from dance. It was a splash party. A little cool but at least it didn't rain us out. You cried and complained before we went because Blaire had to go with us. I tried to explain that is just what it is like to be the big sister sometimes. I know. believe me. Daddy was helping at Aunt Karyn's so we all went to the party. Tonight we went to eat with Aunt Karyn and Landon while they continued to work at her new house. Brynlee ended up having fever so we don't plan on going to church tomorrow.

May 15 2009

No school today. You woke up super early anyway and we made bouncy balls before breakfast. They were really neat. Someone gave them to you for your birthday and you can make different colors, etc. We had to run a few errands and decided to stop by Marble Slab for a treat. Daddy met us of course.

May 14 2009

Well today was like Friday since you are out of school tomorrow. I am making a photo scrapbook for Mrs. Luna. It makes me sad that you are no longer going to be a kindergartner. You are losing teeth and growing up too fast. I think having a first grader is coming way too fast.

May 13 2009

It has been raining so much lately but finally let up so we could have family portraits done. You are like a little model, taking direction so well. Getting great pictures of you girls is one of my favorite things in the entire world to do so I was in heaven. Afterward we went to Ironwood Grill where you could all play in the sandbox while we ate. It works out well for all of us.

May 12 2009

Today is the 20th anniversary of my first date with your Daddy. I remember we went to Pizza Hut on a double date with Shane. Of course I didn't eat much because I was so nervous. We rode in Mrs. Prather's red ford escort. I thought your Daddy was super cute and tall and had a great smile....and I still do. He is the best Daddy on this earth for you girls. I hope you can find someone just like him to marry one day.

May 11 2009

You are so funny...today you decided to make me a behavior chart like the one at school. You made one for each member of the family (all 5) and you explained in detail how it works, etc. Then you preceeded to ask me every time something happened, if you need to go move someone's clip? Precious.... You have teacher in your blood. You are so much like me it is unreal. I love you so much Brooke! I just can't wait to see what you grow up and become. However, you have informed us all you are never leaving us and will live here forever. Fine by me sweetheart.

May 10 2009

Today is Libby's 12th birthday! We went over to Ally's this afternoon for cake and ice cream. It is also Mother's Day. You girls were incredible. You brought me breakfast this morning with lots of cards and gifts you had wrapped up. I loved it. The best part was the coupon that said I could use it for 100 back scratches, hair fixes and feet rubs. Perfect! We ate at McAlister's with Nee Nee and Uncle Adam and his kids. I got to take a nap while Daddy watched you. He was so tired from working late, he fell asleep. I woke up and Brynlee was in the cabinet with lots of mess on the floor, Blaire decided to take a nap in only her underwear and you were knee deep in mess in the playroom. Wouldn't trade it for the world!

May 9 2009

It rained and rained and thunderstormed all day. We made it to the wedding but it was so loud during the ceremony that we could not hear the preacher. But everything, including my flower girls, was gorgeous. Daddy said he got choked up when you two came down the stairs together. You looked amazing. We had your hair in little ringlet curls. It was emotional hearing the wedding march played because I know I will blink and it will be one of you walking down that aisle. sniff sniff

May 8 2009

Tonight was the rehearsal dinner for Erin's wedding. You girls did great. There are a lot of stairs to go down but you seemed to do fine. There was a gorgeous hill that all the kids had a blast playing on after the rehearsal. Oh and you took Mrs. Luna your present for teacher appreciation week this morning. I got your picture with it before you left. I just love your unique spirit!

May 7 2009

We had a Chuck E Cheese party tonight for Texas from your class. We had a big time as usual. Afterward we went to say hello to Nee Nee at Zales.

May 6 2009

We had to cancel family pictures again today because of all the rain and mud. It finally stopped raining today but the ground was so muddy it would not have worked. We are going to try again next week. I thought it was funny that you and Blaire were actually upset that they were cancelled.

May 5 2009

Tuesday, gymnastics. You are doing so well workingon your back handsprings. You are very strong and seem to like gymnastics more now. You don't cry when it's time to get ready, etc. Today you even got ready on your own and asked if it was time to go.

May 4 2009

You have not taken your ring off that Nee Nee gave you for Kindergarten graduation. You are so proud of it. I am suprised that you have not taken it off to show people etc and lost it. But at least when I'm around you seem to obey what we have told you and don't take it off for any reason.

May 3 2009

Church and then I had a baby shower to give for Becky Jackson. You were going to go help me but at the last minute you decided to stay here because Nana and Dandy were keeping Brynlee and you didn't want to miss out. You and Landon played and played.

May 2 2009

Today it rained and stormed all day. It finally settled down this afternoon late and we went to eat at Applebee's with Nana and Dandy. They came over and you danced and goofed off for them as usual.

May 1 2009 Friday

It's Friday! You decided to be a tray again today since you discovered nachos. You said you and Luke decided to eat nachos today. Not sure what that meant. You just laugh when I ask you if you have a boyfriend and say no.

April 29 2009

April 28 2009

Tonight was spirit night for your school at Chic-fil-a. We saw Mrs. Luna and you would think it was a celebrity you were so excited. She sat down and talked to me and told me how well you were doing in school. She said the curriculum coordinator even took pictures of your journal writing because you had done so well. She said you can already put ideas and sentences together well beyond your years. I am so proud of you Brooke. God has given my the desires of my heart in making me your mother.

April 24 2009

This morning Daddy and I went to play golf while Nana and Dandy watched you guys. You had fun dancing and showing off and then we all met for lunch. Not much going on today...turned out to be great weather. You picked honeysuckle in the yard and came in with your little wheelbarrow full. I couldn't bear to have you disappointed and tell you to take them back outside so I got out a glass vase and we filled it up. It smelled wonderful. So we were both happy!

Friday, April 24, 2009

April 23 2009

Today you told me that you had your journal sent to the principal's office because they wanted to make a copy of it because you had written so much. I am anxious to hear what you wrote about. You impressed me again today. I found you some 1st grade games on the computer and you did great at a game adding and subtracting fractions. Wow-kindergarten!

April 22 2009

We went to church tonight and of course we were the last ones to leave the playground. You love to play there, if even by yourself. I am proud of you for memorizing your bible verses.

April 21 2009

Gymnastics today...you were a little cranky and tired but still went ok. You are getting so good at ALMOST doing your back handspring. Today they let you do it with just s spotter, no mat to roll over. We are so proud of you.

April 20 2009

Monday Monday...Dance today. You were so grown up today ..there was no arguing about going and you even got yourself ready! Afterwards we picked up your favorite-Pizza Hut breadsticks for supper. I had to run to Target but you girls stayed here with Dad. You will play outside until dark if we don't call you in. You are starting to look like a tomboy with bruises and bites all over your legs.

Thursday, April 23, 2009

April 19 2009

Church and then CiCi's for lunch. You chose that over Olive Garden...kind of suprised but they do have a gameroom. This afternoon we had Nana, Dandy and the whole gang came over and we grilled hamburgers. You and Landon rode bikes of course. The most excitement was when Rosie the horse from next door came walking up the driveway. We had to get her pinned back up and figure out where she got out. You want a horse so bad. Maybe we can give you riding lessons.

April 18 2009

Rain rain all day! We went over to the Goolsby's tonight for a church get together. There was lots of mud and mess. You had fun but once your feet got cold and wet you were ready to come home.

Friday, April 17, 2009

April 17 2009

You asked me today if we were rich? I said, "No." You replied, "Darn." How funny you would have to ask...but I did go on to tell you we have everything we need. You probably disagree because I tell you that we don't have the money for things like ice cream EVERY day after school.

Thursday, April 16, 2009

April 16 2009

When we got home today from school you and Daddy went to play golf. You were so excited when you got home...you told me you got a strike. Then you said no I mean I hit it just one time and it went in. Later you sang karoke on our little machine. You really do have a nice voice. I would just love it if you were a talented singer or muscian. You wanted me to video you as you sang. I even got up and danced and sang backup for you!

April 15 2009

You were claiming to be too sick to go to church but we didn't really give you a choice. There was no fever and you had been running around acting fine. Of course you got to church and were fine. Daddy took you to Home Depot on the way home to get a "pointer". Ahh...you can rest now and quit worrying about that darn thing.

April 14 2009

I am so tired of all the fighting. Oh my-you girls are either loving each other to death or literally killing each other. Blaire tends to drive you crazy with all her jabbering. She is so excited to see you every day when you get in the car from school and she talks nonstop. You beg me to just make her quit talking..sometimes you even plug your ears. She will say cute things like, "Brookie, how was school?" but she keeps on....I feel your pain.

April 13 2009

I have begun working on an end of year photo book for your class-Mrs. Luna. I hope it turns out well and represents everyone. You are really into playing school lately. You have your easel and you have tried to make a pointer out of several objects but I think we are going to go get a dowel rod and let you place your object of choice on the end and have yourself a pointer. You remind me so much of me at this age. I know I was not much older than you when I played school with Aunt Karyn and tape recorded "subliminal" messages to play to her in her sleep and see if she knew the information when she woke up. Ha- I can see you and Blaire in a few more years.

April 12 2009

Easter Sunday. We all made it to church almost on time. Afterwards all 15 of us on Daddy's side went to Golden Corral-my favorite! Then we came to our house to hide eggs in the living room. It was a little loud but we had a good time. You were very tired and cranky and late this afternoon you told me you hated me. It was quite possibly one of the worst moments of my life. It was all over your hair. You were sitting in the chair and I was in the kitchen and I saw you wrestling with getting out the ponytail holder and you said I hate my mother...making me wear this! I calmly sent you to your room. You apologized later but it still stung. You girls looked gorgeous in you Easter dresses and overall a great day celebrating with family and friends.

April 11 2009

Today we went to the early showing of the new Hannah Montana movie. We invited your friend Eva Katherine to go with us. We ended up sitting on the front row but it was fine. It turned out to be a great movie. Afterwards we hurried to the Easter Egg Hunt at the Elliot's house. It was a great time. We decorated Easter cookies and played. Afterwards all of our family came over and hunted more eggs. It is suppossed to rain for Easter Sunday so we thought we better get in some egg hunts today. It was beautiful weather.

April 10, 2009

It's Good Friday so no school today. We took Lily to the groomer this morning. Jessica and Lauren came over this morning. We went to Petsmart and it was like a mini field trip. We looked at all the birds, fish, hamsters and reptiles. This afternoon we went to the park with Aunt Ally and Whit. We came home and grilled out hamburgers. None for you though, I think you had mac and cheese. haha

April 9 2009

Ahh..Thursday. Finally we have nowhere to be after school, nothing to do. The weather has been so nice, you are riding your bike every day. This morning Brynlee had tubes put in her ears so I was gone when you woke up. Daddy got you off to school. at first you were really worried about it when you heard the word surgery, but when I told you how quick and painless it was, you were fine.

April 8 2009

Tonight we went to church. You are learning memory verses now. It is hard to believe you are getting so big. It makes my heart so happy to hear you learning about Jesus.

April 7 2009

Gymnastics this afternoon. You are doing so well on your back handspring (with the roll over mat). I know you enjoy it when you get here but it is hard to get you here also. I think you have some real talent so I hope you continue. A few weeks ago you saw the kids practicing the cheerleading that Ms. Shera does and you asked me why you weren't in that. I said well you never told me you wanted to. You said, "Well, I didn't know it existed." I just don't think you ro any of us are ready for that type of commitment. I will give it a year or two and see what you think.

April 6 2009

Mondays are dance days. This time of year you always start to dread going. But thankfully we got to watch today and get your tap costume so that gave you some incentive to go. You do a great job on your dance. You are front and center and I like to think it is because you really know the steps.

April 5 2009

We went to church and then Road House with Nee Nee. Anywhere but Golden Corral. I am so sick of eating there. That is you and Daddy's favorite spot. The way I look at it you ONLY eat Mac and cheese, so you can get that anywhere. But for now we are taking turns and this was my week to pick!

April 4 2009

Tonight we had Nana, Libby, Landon, Aunt Ally and Whit over for dinner. Brynlee and Whit explored outdoors and the rest of you kids ran wild around the yard. You rode bikes, trampoline, chase, etc...boy you should sleep well tonight. Daddy went to Aunt Mel and Uncle Alan's to play guitar with some friends they had over. It is always a late night for us with church in the morning so we let him go so he could stay as long as he wanted.

April 3 2009

You decided to BE A TRAY today. That means instead of taking your lunch you are buying a lunch. You have always wanted to do that but they only offer entrees loaded with meat or chicken but you discovered that they sell chef salads. I'm sure it is mostly teachers who order these but they are offered with RANCH dressing. Daddy took you to school today and he said that when Mrs. Marschiani opened your door, you said..I'm a tray today so excited. When you came home you said it was good, but you had to pick the meat off. You got yourself grapes, 2 chocolate milks and the salad. Since it is all a la carte it probably costs us 6.00 or something but who cares I am so happy you are eating something besides mac and cheese!

April 2 2009

Good old Thursday...the weekend is almost here. You are still having off and on headaches and stomaches. I think it is sinus related and constipation. You have been on Miralax now off and on for months. It does seem to work but I just wish we didn't have to rely on it. I am so proud of you for adding a few new things to your diet lately like salad with ranch dressing. I think I posted about that before? You are also a little more willing to eat apples and green beans, etc when I ask. Woo Hoo!

April 1 2009

You coughed all night so I assumed you were staying home. You woke up at 8 and said you wanted to go to school. Darn it-I guess that will be an absence for 1 st period. You did fine at school though. You girls decided it was dip cone day so we brought Daddy a banana split. You had a bike accident when we go home and through your tears professed you wanted a new yard. You had already had a good cry on the way home because Blaire told you we went for a walk today. You were heartbroken...you wanted to go. Oh and look what you brought home from school today. You were so excited...almost crying..Mama, I won my first character trait!

March 31 2009

You woke up feeling bad this morning. I told you if you went to school, I would sent Mrs. Luna an email telling her if you felt bad you could go to the nurse. So of course the nurse called right before lunch. I told her to have you go eat lunch and if you still felt bad to come back. So I got another call at about 1:30 so I went to pick you up early. You don't have any fever, but I'm sure you do feel yucky. Tonight I read a man's blog who is raising a little girl on his own because the mom died of a blood clot the day after the baby was born. So sad...I cried and cried. I went in to your room (you girls were long asleep) and prayed over you and thanked God for your health and for our family.

March 30 2009

You have the same terrible cough we all have this morning. We made it to school nonetheless. After school Landon came by so we could help him work on his school project since Aunt Karyn is out of town. So you cried and wailed about having to go to dance. We took Landon with us so that solved that. Afterwards, we met Libby , and Nana and Dandy for pizza at Pizza Inn. All of you were so loud and wild! I'm sure people thought I must have 5 kids!

March 29 2009

We went to church this morning. You picked Golden Corral to eat for lunch. I agreed only because I am picking next week. And it won't involve anywhere where I have to use the same handle as every other person to dip my food that they have most likely coughed or breathed over. I admit the food is usually good, if I can put blinders on. Daddy painted his office all day and we hung around the house. You girls, danced and then played outside.

March 28 2009

We went to lunch with Nana and Dandy today and you decided to throw a fit and cry the whole way there because you did not want to sit in your booster seat. So unpredictable. But on a good note, you ordered a side salad with ranch for lunch and ate almost all of it. I am super excited because you have eaten apples, grapes and salad today! We had a little talk about the miralax thing and healthy foods, while this is not the first time, maybe it sunk in this time! Nee Nee came over tonight to visit and you had fun doing fingernails.

March 27 2009

It's Friday! You are so anxious to get home each day to ride you bike. We don't have a big weekend planned just hanging out since we have been gone and doing so many birthday parties that will be nice. You and Blaire danced the night away!

March 26 2009

We are still on the Miralax and you still complain of headaches but not near as often. Today you said your waist hurt and you back if you bent over at all. I am considering an appt with a gastro specialist just to see if it is connected to the headaches and just make sure nothing besides constipation is wrong. I'm going to give it another week or so. When I picked you up from school Mrs. Luna came out with a grin and said that you saw Mr. Sandlin in the hall this morning and went up and told him that you had read your 100 books and you needed your bracelet. He laughed and told you to tell your teacher and she would email him. Mrs. Luna said she was just surprised at how comfortable you were with the principal. And then you reminded her all day to email him and she forgot. I bet you won't let her forget tomorrow. That's my girl!

March 25 2009

You were excited to go back to school today because you had read 100 books! You get to get a bracelet of some sort from the principal when you accomplish this. I am so proud of you. You try your best at school and so far this year, you have not ever moved a clip on the behavior chart. Only you and one other boy can claim this. That's great and all but I fear the day when something happens and you might get in trouble. I have tried to prepare you for this day, shall it come but you are confused why I would think it was ok to get in trouble. I have tried the everyone makes mistakes....but you don't look too forgiving. Wonder where that came from? hehe....We went to church tonight and you wanted to go up for your birthday and let them sing to you. Fine but then they called Blaire and Brynlee up to so I had to go. Oh well, there are worse things. You were so excited about that. Who would have guessed!

March 24 2009

We overslept today because Brynlee was up most of the night screaming. I wanted to take you in anyway for possible UTI. You complained of a back ache when you got out of bed. We all went to the doctor, but have to wait a day or so to culture because they said it just looked suspicious, not sure. It was raining and a lazy day here anyway, a good day to miss school. Of course you did not want to go to gymnastics tonight, I think you are milking it. But with this weather and 2 other cranky kids, I am not thrilled about driving you across town. Today was the first day you have spoken about Murray without getting sad or even crying. I am so proud we are making progress. You were telling Blaire he is in heaven now and so he is happy. !WOW-progress-

March 23 2009

Back to school today. You were excited because you were taking Mrs. Luna a present from Disney, a Quincy doll (from Little Einsteins) for her little boy Ricardo. You were set on getting him something because Mrs. Luna told you he likes them. You are so sweet. You had dance tonight and then came straight home to ride you bike. You have learned to ride so well. You complained that it hurt when you tried to go to the bathroom, screamed actually. I hope you don't have some sort of infection.

March 22 2009

This computer journal is working out so much better. I just never realized how much time it takes to actually hand write things out, especially when I have so much to say! Today we had Brynlee's first birthday party. It went great. You all had a great time playing at the little park we had it at. You have learned to ride your bike very well without training wheels and can even start and stop by yourself. You are so proud of yourself and you should be I can't believe how fast you did that and on such a big bike. Nana and Dandy came by after the party just to see you ride. We are all still exhausted after the trip and its back to school tomorrow.

March 21 2009

Today we had to be up before the sun to get home. You loved the plane ride home and were gald to be getting home to see Lilly, Nana and you were also excited to get to see Aunt Kathy and Lindsey who were here for Erin's shower. We all went to Dee Dee' s to visit and then went to Ironwood Grill to eat. You got a birthday card with 20 in it! You also pulled your tooth on the plane ride home. Tonight when you went to bed, you wrote another note that said, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE TOOTH.

March 20 2009

Today we visited Hollywood Studios. We scheduled a lunch for Blaire's birthday at Hollywood and Vine with JoJo and the Little Einsteins. It was great fun. We got to see the characters a lot and the atmosphere was really great. We went back ans let you swim for several hours when we were done since we are leaving tomorrow. You got a beautiful music box today for a souvenier.

March 19 2009

Back to the Magic Kingdom today. We rode rides that we missed the last time and it was not quite as hot today. We had breakfast with Minnie, Donald and Goofy this morning at our resort. This was a very good breakfast and the characters were great. Again a long, exhausting hot day but lots of fun!

March 18 2009

Today we went to Epcot. We rode several rides and ate in the food court there. The best part was the trip through the big ball . You were disappointed to find out that the Hall of Presidents was closed because they were adding Barack Obama. We will definitely have to catch that on our next trip. You have become quite the photographer these days. Daddy and I let you take some pics with my camera but we need to get you a better one. You love taking pictures just like I do! Tonight was the luau at the Polynesian resort. It had great food and a show. We all (except Daddy) went on stage for a birthday hula! The show was a little long so we headed home just before it was over. We got to ride the monorail and that was fun.

March 17 2009

We went to the Animal Kingdom today. We got there fairly early and did the Safari. We saw another parade and even got to meet Lilo and Stitch. The AK overall was good but crowded and hot. You liked the animals however, so I guess it was worth it. We ate at Tusker House and went back to the resort for the evening.

March 16, 2009

Today, we decided to let you go swimming most of the day since that is what would make you happy. You went down the water slide about one million times. Great for Daddy's knee- the spiral staircase. By evening we walked over to Epcot to see the fireworks show and eat dinner. I don't know what it is with you but you are bound to catch something from a waterfountain. You want to stop and drink out of every one! We got to bed early in hopes of getting to the park earlier tomorrow.

March 15th 2009

Today we went to Magic Kingdom. It was hot! We rode some rides and saw lots of sights. It was tiring but of course memorable. I still have to pinch myself that I am actually in Disney with my 3 girls. It is a dream come true. You liked the rides, Daddy and I took turns with you. We did the Dumbo ride together. It was a long day and we were all tired so we went to bed. You are dying to get out to the waterslide. We stayed late at the MK and saw the parade and fireworks show. We got several more autographs for your book today.

March 14th 2009

Brooke,

Let me start by saying that I have been HORRIBLE at keeping up your journal this past year. I am going to try and do a better job by typing it online. I can always find time before I go to bed to sit at the computer so I will try and make a habit of writing every night before bed about your day. This is your 6th birthday. Where has the time gone? On one hand, it seems like just yesterday you were born, on the other it is like you are an extension of me in so many ways, that it is like I have never been without you. You are one special little girl! I love you so much I can't describe it. I will recount your birthday. Daddy and I told you that you could have your present from us on your real birthday (you had a party last weekend). We also told you that it was too big to wrap. So we got you up super early and brought all of you in the living room. We have 6 birthday sacks that you had to open. Each one contained a letter and it spelled DISNEY. It took you a minute to figure it out but you had the biggest smile when you did. You especially got excited when we told you that we were going right away, the car was already packed. I tell you Brooke this was one of the greatest days of my life, getting to take my family on a vacation and especially for you since you are old enough to understand and have been asking to go to Disney for about a year now. Once Daddy gave me the go ahead after Christmas, I started planning the trip. We decided to make it a suprise, just in case something fell through and also to make it a SUPER special birthday! You loved the plane ride and the resort was great. We had a birthday dinner with the princesses. You dressed up as Belle, make up and all. You looked beautiful. A lady even stopped us on the way to take pictures of you girls all dressed up. We got autographs and pictures with the princesses as they made thier way around to each table. We had a great time despite the wheel falling off of our stroller-LOL and Daddy popping his knee out of place. You could not wait to get in the pool at the resort so we let you all take a quick swim. You love swimming. I just want to tell you how proud I am of you and how sweet and thoughtful you can be. I am so glad God chose me to be your mom. I want to make every day count with you because you are growing up TOO FAST!
