June 9 2009

This morning we went to the park to walk. We did not get up as early as I had planned so it got hot! We walked the 2 mile track with the double stroller and the dog and then played for just a few minutes and left to meet Daddy for lunch. We had julie's deli. I let you eat lunch at home, since they no longer offered mac and cheese, and you got to have dessert first. chocolate fudge!

It made me sad tonight you were in your bed crying for Murray. YOu didn't want to wait to get to heaven to see him again. You know he is happy but you are sad/ (your words) Poor thing....I feel so bad for you. We rolled your hair in pin curls tonight just like Grandmother Doris used to do to her hair. You are such a girly girl. For the past 2 nights you have gotten up in the night and rolled your hair! We don't know what time this is happening, I never heard anything. You did a pretty good job both times!

June 8 2009

Swimming lessons began today. We are taking from Ms. Julie again and you look so forward to it. All day...how many more hours, minutes, etc. You and Landon were in the same class again. YOu are so funny, you started a potty training chart. You said every time you go potty you get a star and when you get a page full we can go somewhere. When I suggested you change it to a fruits and vegetables chart you were quiet offened but did it anyway. I knew what you meant, but a potty chart? That was about 3 years ago. You said, remember we did it before?!

June 7 2009

Unfortunatley we were all so exhausted from the big day that we let you girls sleep in. We went to Nana's house just to visit and help them move a bit of Karyn's stuff out. Everyone ended up over here again to eat hot dogs. Libby and Landon were at Todd's visiting so it was pretty quiet.

Recital day! You were so excited this morning. We did your hair and make up at home and then all headed to the theater. You looked so pretty. You were very graceful during your dances. You are one of the center girls in each dance and know the dance by heart. I am so proud of you. We came home at your request intead of going to a restaurant and had everyone over to eat. The kids all played in the sprinkler. It was a great day!Nana gave you gorgeous pink roses and we gave you the stuffed pig you had your eye on from the toy store.

June 5 2009

Today you had your friend Lauren from church over. Blaire and Brynlee (and you) were literally squealing with delight when she got here. I am so glad that you are at an age where it is still ok to play with your little sisters.

June 4 2009

Dress Rehearsal today...you did great. You are such a graceful dance. We were there from 4 until after 8. I had Nana come meey me to help with Brynlee because I had to video and take pictures today plus make sure you get changed etc. You seem to enjoy it more every year. We went to Chilis afterward and everyone went to bed ASAP tonight we were all so tired!

June 3 2009

Today we went to Toy Castle to hear Cinderella read a story. She was sick, so Mickey Mouse made an appearance instead. You listened to the story very intently, better than the other 2. We looked around and of course you found things you were just DYING to purchase RIGHT NOW! I had them hold back the pig you liked and plan to go get it for your recital gift. More practice today. I took the other girls to the park down the street because it was cloudy and a lot cooler today.

June 2 2009

We had more practice at the Perot. We just sat in the car and waited for you. BORING....It has been so hot this week so far... can't wait for July.

June 1 2009

Today is your first practice at the Perot for recital. This morning we went to the library and signed up for some summer activities. We got to see Sponge Bob and get your first library card. We were so excited..Daddy's thinks we are crazy because he doesn't like to read as much as we do. You wanted to check out a 5th grade level chapter book called , The Saddle Club. It looked interesting so I told you I could read it to you if I needed to. When we got home you just started reading it. I was amazed how well you did. You were sounding out and figuring out words like , independent, cooperation, amazing, etc.. You asked for help on "consequence" I am so proud of you. We got Libby and Landon signed up too so you guys were reading all day. We take your sheets back next week and you get to draw for a prize.

May 31 2009

No church today because of the chicken pox again. We did have Nana and everyone over to eat tonight. It's only been 2-3 days but it seems like forever we have been cooped up in the house. They have all already been exposed anyway. We set up a little pool and slip and slide for you guys.

May 30 2009

We were suppossed to go to Landon's last game and the Bulldog race today but had the chicken pox. This is turning out to be a relaxing weekend since we can't go anywhere. We should try this more often. They are itching you some but otherwise you feel fine.

May 29 2009

Graduation day! You did great and we took lots of pictures. The tropy we gave you was a hit and you LOVED the pink real digital camera that Nana gave you. The ceremony went well though I did get choked up a bit, mainly just thinking about how little you were when Kindergarten started. Well, not little but just a baby face. You are growing up which is fun but too sad. We let you choose where to eat after and of course you picked Golden Corral. Not my favorite but its all about you today. When I stopped by the nurse to pick up the medicine I had sent for your bites, she told me it looked like chicken pox! I did not even think of you getting that....So I called the doctor and took you in after lunch and they could not be 100% but thought it was suspicious of chicken pox as well. She said that since you were vaccinated for them you probably just have a different type case, no fever etc. So we think Brynlee may have had a light case as well. We missed dance practice tonight and the church party because of it.
