Well tomorrow you start the first grade. I am so proud of you Brooke. You help Mommy so much and always try to do the right thing. You are excited to have Mr. Starnes as a teacher but a little worried because some of your best friends are not in your class. I know you will do great. We got to see your seat at meet the teacher and check out your classroom. You lost your front tooth yesterday so you will officially be snaggletooth for the first day. So cute! I am trying to talk you into being the tooth fairy for Halloween but you said you would think about it. One funny thing you said recently was , Mom I can't understand those people because I don't have Spanish ears. ha- I love it. You then told me you had English ears. You will always be my first baby girl! Love you -

Tonight Daddy and I took you by yourself to dinner and then to choose something you wanted. It is kind of a tradition we started last year when we took you shopping for school clothes without the other two. You loved it. We went to Ruby Tuesdays and then you wanted a pet shop so we went to Wal-Mart to get one. We had some other last minute things from Wal-mart we needed also. It was a special time without your sisters to interrupt you. We hope to do this every year adn of course with your sisters individually when they start school.

Today you and Landon were playing with the exercise band and it snapped back and hit you in the face, leaving a pretty bad mark. We went to the doctor and they wanted to do stitches but you wouldn't hear of it, so we settled on the glue. You were a pretty good patient when you figured out it wasn't going to hurt. I hated seeing you hurt like that. It made me feel good because I was going to have Daddy take you in and me stay with all the other kids but you said no, you would be scared without Mommy. That is about the best thing ever. I was happy to hear you still need me when you are scared. Sometimes I wonder if you are not too grown up but then times like those makes me remember you are my baby!

This morning we went to the park to walk. We did not get up as early as I had planned so it got hot! We walked the 2 mile track with the double stroller and the dog and then played for just a few minutes and left to meet Daddy for lunch. We had julie's deli. I let you eat lunch at home, since they no longer offered mac and cheese, and you got to have dessert first. chocolate fudge!

It made me sad tonight you were in your bed crying for Murray. YOu didn't want to wait to get to heaven to see him again. You know he is happy but you are sad/ (your words) Poor thing....I feel so bad for you. We rolled your hair in pin curls tonight just like Grandmother Doris used to do to her hair. You are such a girly girl. For the past 2 nights you have gotten up in the night and rolled your hair! We don't know what time this is happening, I never heard anything. You did a pretty good job both times!

Swimming lessons began today. We are taking from Ms. Julie again and you look so forward to it. All day...how many more hours, minutes, etc. You and Landon were in the same class again. YOu are so funny, you started a potty training chart. You said every time you go potty you get a star and when you get a page full we can go somewhere. When I suggested you change it to a fruits and vegetables chart you were quiet offened but did it anyway. I knew what you meant, but a potty chart? That was about 3 years ago. You said, remember we did it before?!

Unfortunatley we were all so exhausted from the big day that we let you girls sleep in. We went to Nana's house just to visit and help them move a bit of Karyn's stuff out. Everyone ended up over here again to eat hot dogs. Libby and Landon were at Todd's visiting so it was pretty quiet.

Recital day! You were so excited this morning. We did your hair and make up at home and then all headed to the theater. You looked so pretty. You were very graceful during your dances. You are one of the center girls in each dance and know the dance by heart. I am so proud of you. We came home at your request intead of going to a restaurant and had everyone over to eat. The kids all played in the sprinkler. It was a great day!Nana gave you gorgeous pink roses and we gave you the stuffed pig you had your eye on from the toy store.
